Election Judges Needed

Election judges are temporary, paid employees of local election officials trained to handle all aspects of voting at the polling place. Serving as an election judge is a chance to learn about elections, and is a great service to the community.

Almost all township and cities in Kanabec County are in need of trained election judges for the upcoming Presidential election. If you know of anyone that would be interested please share this information with them.

If you are interested in becoming an election judge you must complete a 3 hour in person training at the Kanabec County Courthouse. The training is put on by the Kanabec County Auditor/Treasurer Denise Snyder. The following training times and dates are available. YOU MUST CONTACT THE AUDITOR’S OFFICE AT 320-679-6430 TO RESERVE YOUR TIME AND DATE.

July 10: 5pm-8pm

July 11: 9am – Noon

July 11: 1pm – 4pm

July 12: 9am – Noon

July 15: 1pm – 4pm

July 15: 6pm – 9pm

July 16: 5pm – 8pm

July 17: 9am – Noon

Head Election Judge training is provided. If you would like to be a head judge you must attend an additional hour of training. Training times and dates are as follows:

July 10: 8pm – 9pm

July 11: 4pm – 5pm

July 12: Noon – 1pm

July 15: 4pm – 5pm

July 16: 8pm-9pm

July 17: Noon – 1pm

When you call to reserve your date and time you will be asked your party affiliation, this information will only be shared with township clerks for judge scheduling.
